The National
Society for Healthcare Consumer Advocacy is calling for new members.
We need your help! Our membership
numbers are declining. We just received our August report. We have 850
members in SHCA. This is the lowest number of members we've had in the
past three years.
Your membership in SHCA allows
us to continue the work we've started. For me it's been an excellent way
to connect with all of you, and to be able to support one another. SHCA
has broadened my view of healthcare and the work we do, and has brought
me to a different level of professionalism.
Jody Moss, a member and previous
Board Member, says it all. "SHCA has brought the skills and experiences
of all my colleagues across the country and even around the world to my
doorstep. Through sharing ideas with other members, I have gained invaluable
assistance and developed creative programs which save time, money and advance
patient advocacy efforts. I have also gained great friends whom I can call
upon when presented with a professional challenge."
Recently, a letter was sent
to all CEOs regarding the society, encouraging membership of their patient
representative into SHCA. This is a great time to ask for that membership.
Please consider forwarding
this message to all of your colleagues and state chapter members, and encourage
them to join SHCA. Here are some reasons why they should be members:
