Ruby Greene is Director of Patient Relations at Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn. She is involved in the ethics of patient care, acts as liaison between the hospital and regulatory agencies in matters pertaining to patient rights, and provides staff education about patient rights and advance directives. She is a past president of NYSHCA and a member of the national society. Ruby is also president of RHG Consulting Services, which offers workshops on patient care issues to college students, physicians, nurses and administrators. She is an adjunct faculty member of NYU where she teaches on-site and in the distance learning program. Sandy Burke is Director of Patient Relations at New York University Medical Center in Manhattan. In her 25 years, she has worked in suburban, inner city, teaching hospital and outpatient settings. She, too is a past president of the Society and has served on the National Membership Committee many times.
